Cherokee Area Council VOA Officers

As a VOA Officer, our Venturers have privilege and responsibility of serving the Venturing community. They will work with a team of youth officers and adult advisors to suggest programmatic changes, lead events, and host trainings for the Venturing and Scouting community. As an officer, they have the opportunity to give back to the program and leave a mark on future generations of Venturers.

The VOA President is to provide leadership to the members of the Cherokee Area Council Venturing Officer’s Association (VOA) through adherence to the program and policies of the council.

He works with the VOA Adviser and VOA Staff Adviser to ensure the proper implementation of all VOA operations by the youth leaders and members of Venturing in the Cherokee Area Council.

The VP of Communications is to provide leadership to the members of the Cherokee Area Council Venturing Officer’s Association (VOA) through adherence to the program and policies of the council.

He regularly reports to the VOA President on the progress of his/her duties.

He works with the VOA Vice-President of Communication Adviser to ensure the proper implementation of all VOA
operations by the youth leaders and members of Venturing in the Cherokee Area Council.

Applications are due by April 30th and there will be a short interview required (date TBA). The VOA term runs from June 1,2020 to May 31, 2021
