Cherokee Area Council VOA Officers

As a VOA Officer, our Venturers have privilege and responsibility of serving the Venturing community. They will work with a team of youth officers and adult advisors to suggest programmatic changes, lead events, and host trainings for the Venturing and Scouting community. As an officer, they have the opportunity to give back to the program and leave a mark on future generations of Venturers.

As we rebuild the Cherokee Area Council Venturing Officer’s Association (VOA) through adherence to the program and policies of the council, Niko is serving as the Ad-Hoc President as he and his Advisor actively seek and train the next officer to lead the Venturing program.

It is his goal to ensure the proper implementation of all VOA operations by the youth leaders and members of Venturing in the Cherokee Area Council.

Applications are due by November 1st and there will be a short interview required (date TBA). The VOA term runs from December 1, 2021 to November 31, 2022.

Interested candidates must complete application, be available for an in person interview, and commit to attending all monthly VOA meetings in order to be considered for a position.
