The volunteer Advisor is appointed by the top volunteer officer at each tier (e.g., district chair, area president) and serves at the appointer’s discretion. The VOA Advisor is largely responsible for guiding the youth leadership in strengthening the Venturing in the council, planning events, coordinating Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews training sessions, and more. The VOA also carries out service projects for the council.

A die hard E.D.G.E. and A.L.P.S. life liver and an advocate for youth led programming, she actively seeks to strengthen the understanding of the youth that are within her sphere of just how much voice they have, as leaders in the Boy Scouts of America program. She actively seeks to mentor youth, aged 14 – 21 to become the best they can be honing in on purpose and helping to define where they fit in BSA Leadership .
