About the CAC Venturing Officers Association

The Venturing Officer’s Association is a great way to keep Venturers involved in the District as well as the Council.  The Council’s VOA is made up of Venturers from all of the Districts that come to together to make our council’s Venturing program better.  The current VOA President is Brent from Crew 2024, John Ross District.  Applications for VOA positions, including VOA Adviser/Associate Advisers, are submitted in October and positions are elected in November for a December-December term.

Our Venturing program is only as strong as its youth and leadership. In the Cherokee Area Council, we have the ability to increase our program and make it great with your help!  If you need anything or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Council’s VOA Staff at info@cacvoa.org.

The Mission statement of the VOA is to promote the development of leadership skills, provide service, and participate in high adventure programs.

The Council VOA shall organize the planning and implementation of the Venturing Program events and training at the Council level. The VOA shall also offer support for the planning and implementation of Venturing program events and training at the District and Unit levels.

On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, to obey the Scout Law, to help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

A scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent

Lead the adventure!
